Andalusia breaks its record in agri-food exports in 2020

Andalusia’s agri-food exports closed the 2020 financial year with a new export record of 11,255 million euros, its best historical record since comparable data has been available (1995), while also contributing a record trade surplus of 7,040 million euros to the regional economy.

According to Extenda data, this new record represents an increase in sales of 0.6% compared to 2019, favoured by the progress in many of its major EU markets, but above all in more distant markets that provide diversification to the international turnover, with China as the fastest growing of the Top 10 (+20.9%), and Morocco (+56%), Australia (+18.9%) and Saudi Arabia (+11.5%), among those with the highest increases in the Top 20.
