The ‘Startup Andalucía RoadShow’ programme of the Government of Andalusia has selected the five winning companies for their technological entrepreneurship: Limnopharma, Myhixel, OWO Game, Scoobic Urban Mobility and Wuolah.
72 projects applied for this Andalusian competition. Of these, 32 were selected to participate in February in an executive programme aimed at scaling and the search for funding. These start-ups also received individual counselling sessions with a team of mentors who are entrepreneurs and company managers. Of these 32 startups, 12 moved on to the final phase of the programme, focused on connecting these emerging firms with national and international investors and funds.
The five winning startups will now have the opportunity to contact potential investors and access different financing instruments available. Also, they will be able to participate in the best national and international entrepreneurship events, such as the South Summit (Madrid), the WebSummit (Lisbon), the Alhambra Venture (Granada) or the 4YFN (Barcelona), among others.
Limnopharma is a biotech startup from Granada. It specialises in the development of new therapies for the treatment of ophthalmological diseases.
Myhixel is a leading Seville brand in men’s sexual health, pioneering medical and scientifically proven solutions for male sexual wellness.
OWO Game is a Malaga-based company that has designed, developed and patented a jacket that allows users to feel more than 30 physical sensations in their body while playing video games.
Scoobic Urban Mobility is a company from Seville that develops its activity in the field of logistics to offer companies fleets of electric delivery vehicles.
Wuolah is a company from Seville that offers a web platform where students earn money by sharing their best university notes.
