Extenda Global 2022, Andalusia’s annual foreign trade event, will be held on 16 and 17 November in Malaga

Extenda Global 2022, the annual event that brings together Andalusia’s foreign sector, will be held once again on 16 and 17 November at the Trade Fair and Congress Centre of Malaga (Fycma). The event, which is the largest international trade meeting organised in the region, will allow, as every year, Andalusian companies to find new business opportunities in the world through the development of B2B meetings with representatives of the markets they are interested in exploring in the 62 countries served by Extenda’s Foreign Network.

Extenda Global returns to Malaga in 2022 in face-to-face mode, just like the last edition held in Seville in 2021, which ended with great success after closing more than 1,500 business meetings between 1,499 professionals from 740 participating Andalusian companies and the heads of Extenda’s Foreign Network. Likewise, the last edition held in Malaga, in November 2019, brought together 800 companies and more than 1,500 professionals from all over the autonomous community in two days.

The event is organised by Extenda-Andalucía Export and Foreign Investment, an entity under the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior; and has the collaboration of the Andalusian Confederation of Employers (CEA), the Andalusian Council of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation, and ICEX-Spain Export and Investment.

Through a large exhibition area and an intense programme of conferences, Andalusian companies will meet with the main strategic agents of the sector and Extenda’s Foreign Trade Network to access the latest news and services available to them to promote their leap abroad, as well as the main keys to the current global foreign trade scenario.

During October, Andalusian SMEs will be able to register for the meeting through the website that will be created for the event. They will also be able to formalise their requests for B2B meetings with the countries in which they are most interested, register for the conference programme, arrange meetings with strategic partners that provide internationalisation services, and find out about all the instruments that the Andalusian Government has available to strengthen their position in other markets around the world.

Extenda has been organising the most important annual meeting to promote the internationalisation of Andalusian companies for more than 16 years and with different formulas. In its last on-site edition in Seville in 2021, 1,499 professionals from 740 companies interested in doing business in international markets took part, holding more than 1,500 interviews with the managers of the countries represented. Likewise, the 2020 event, which was 100% digital, also achieved significant quotas with the presence of 1,200 professionals, 645 companies, and 1,299 B2B interviews.

To support companies to strengthen the foreign sector and revive the economy of Andalusia, companies in the community that sign up to Extenda Global 2022 will be able to learn first-hand about new business opportunities, through direct contact with the 62 markets of the Extenda Foreign Network, through scheduled meetings. They will also have access to all the services and instruments that Extenda makes available to boost their exports, such as the Andalusia Network, and the other innovative measures of the Strategy for the Internationalisation of the Andalusian Economy 2021-2027 (EIEA 21-27).

Likewise, firms attending FYCMA will be able to access the internationalisation services of the strategic partners participating in the exhibition area. Finally, the community’s companies will have access to strategic information on the current international trade panorama and the opportunities that are opening up at this juncture, through a full programme of conferences with prestigious speakers. The organisation of this action by Extenda will be co-financed with funds from the European Union through the Andalusian ERDF Programme 2014-2020, with a Community contribution of 80%.
