These are the 31 Andalusian companies shortlisted for the Alas Awards for internationalisation

A total of 31 companies from the eight provinces of the region will compete for the Alas Awards for the Internationalisation of Andalusian Companies, organised and awarded by Extenda-Andalucía Exports and Foreign Investment. These finalist companies of the fifteenth edition of the awards will compete for the final regional award, which will be decided by the jury in four different categories: ‘Initiation to Export’, ‘International E-commerce, ‘Exporting Company’, and ‘Foreign Implantation’. To these categories will be added the regional jury’s proposals for ‘International Trajectory’ and the ‘Special 15th Alas Awards, Overcoming COVID-19’.

The eight provincial juries chaired by the respective delegates of the Government of Andalusia in each province have been responsible for selecting each of the finalist firms in the eight provinces of Andalusia. Representatives of the different Official Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Navigation, the provincial representations of the Business Confederations, the media, and leading companies, as well as the participation of Arturo Bernal, CEO of Extenda, were also present.

Organised by the public agency Extenda, the main objective of the Alas Awards is to recognise the work of Andalusian companies in international markets, as well as to stimulate the rest of the productive fabric of the community to initiate their internationalisation process as another element of their economic activity, and thus recognise the work carried out by the foreign sector in benefit of the creation of wealth and employment in the community.

The main new feature of this edition is a new special category ‘COVID-19 Overcoming’, which gives special recognition to Andalusian firms that have made a qualitative contribution of international relevance in the fight against the pandemic (health, logistics, humanitarian, technological, etc.) with repercussions on the markets.

In ‘Initiation to Export’ the winner will be chosen from among the following candidates: Odder Lab, Slow Philosophy, Direct Metal 3D, Earis and Berripro, Deuser Tech Group, Agrícola López Lara, Mr. Handcraft, and Claroflex.

The candidates for ‘Exporting Company’ are: Vitro, La Caña, Aires de Jaén, Atlantic Copper, Daplast, Primaflor, Bodegas Barbadillo y Famadesa.

In the ‘International Ecommerce’ category, the final selection will be made between Grupo Queraltó, Jumadi, Media Commerce Brands Company, Mariscos Carrillo, Piensos y Mascotas, Sismo Soluciones and Innovación y Cualificación.

The winning company in ‘Implantación Exterior’ will be chosen from among the following: Inerco Corporación Empresarial, Herogra Especiales, Plásticos Tuccitanos, Gabitel Soluciones Técnicas, Keyter Technologies, Cuéllar Arquitectura del Mármol, SECOVISA and Aertec Solutions.

In the case of the ‘COVID -19 Overcoming’ category, the regional jury decides on the winning company from among all the candidatures submitted by the jury members. The regional jury is also responsible for awarding the two types of prizes in the ‘International Trajectory’ category. The firms in these categories, as well as the regional winners in the other four categories, will be announced after the meeting of the Main Jury in October.
