Andalusian company Tropical Millenium sets up foreign branches to expand its business abroad

Tropical Millenium, an Andalusian tropical fruit trading company, is to expand internationally. The brand is mainly dedicated to the avocado, mango, papaya, and pitaya markets.

This company, located in the Malaga municipality of Vélez-Málaga, sells around 20 million kilos of fruit each year, finding in the control of ripening the main differential value concerning other competitors.

Axarquia, on the coasts of Malaga and Granada, is the main tropical fruit-producing area in Europe. In this sense, Tropical Millenium points out that the Spain and Andalusia brand is internationally recognised and is always an advantage when marketing their products abroad.

Since its birth 15 years ago, Tropical Millenium has been focused on marketing in foreign markets and in 2015 it faced a great deal of growth in the European market. Currently, 62% of the Malaga-based company’s turnover comes from international sales. Its main markets include Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, and other Eastern European countries. The perishable nature of the fruit means that its destinations are exclusively centred on the European continent to guarantee maximum quality for the consumer.

Tropical Millenium, with the support of the Extenda agency, is looking to the future with a clear decision to increase awareness of the products on the part of the end consumer and is committed to continuing to grow in new markets, where they are planning international delegations.

In 2020, Andalusia reached a new record in fruit and vegetable exports, with 6,026 million euros in sales abroad, a historic high.
