The creation of companies in Andalusia grew by 26.4% last February, with 1,115 more trading companies. The data was provided by the Government of Andalusia’s Weekly Economic Observatory presented this April.
In the first two months of the year, a total of 2,056 mercantile companies were created in Andalusia, 18.5% of those set up in Spain as a whole.
There is an improvement in business confidence in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter. The greatest increase in confidence is in the services sector, followed by industry.
The Observatory also shows that Social Security enrolment grew by 4% year-on-year at the end of March in Andalusia, doubling the national average of 1.9%.
