The Andalusian Regional Government applauds the temporary suspension of US tariffs

Andalusian products such as olive oil suffered tariffs of 70% in US supermarkets. The Andalusian Regional Minister of Agriculture, Carmen Crespo, has applauded the decision agreed between the European Union and the new US Government to temporarily suspend the tariffs that have been mutually applied due to the Boeing and Airbus disputes, and which affect Andalusian agri-food products such as olive oil and olives, among others.

The Regional Minister expressed her confidence that this four-month temporary suspension will be “the first step towards putting a definitive end to these tariffs, which have done so much damage to strategic sectors of the Andalusian countryside, such as olive oil”.
