The number of registered companies in August 2021 in Andalusia amounted to 235,477, registering a growth of 2.1% compared to the same month in 2020. This is equivalent to 4,865 more entities. These data come from the Weekly Economic Observatory of the Junta de Andalucía presented by the Government of Andalusia.
Andalusian exports to the Asian continent reached the figure of 1,607 million euros in the first six months of 2021, which represents an increase of 22.8% over the same period last year, according to Extenda data. In turn, these data reflect a clear sign of recovery, by practically equalling the export figures of the first half of 2019, the period before the pandemic, when they reached 1,623 million euros.
The retail trade sales index grew at current prices in July by 6.2% year-on-year in Andalusia, more than one point above the previous month. The Regional Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities and the Andalusian Council of Chambers of Commerce has selected the 40 technology companies that will participate in the second edition of the Global Business Trip, which aims to promote business opportunities for the Andalusian ICT sector in the markets of Mexico and Chile.
