Extenda collaborates in the internationalisation of 1,400 Andalusian companies in one year with the Andalusia Network
Extenda has achieved its annual objective of bringing internationalisation closer to 1,400 Andalusian companies.
National patent applications registered in Andalusia in 2020 increase by 10.38%
Andalusia registered a total of 358 patent applications in 2020. Of these, a total of 202 have been applied for nationally, 39 via the European route and 117 via the PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty, with international extension). This figure represents an increase of 6.55% over the previous year, which contrasts with the decrease of -1.47% for the whole of Spain (3,283 registrations).
Andalusian children’s fashion is showcased in the UK, where it expects to record sales of £6,901 million by 2024
Extenda has organised the group participation of the Andalusian children’s fashion sector in the summer edition of INDX Kidswear 2021, the most important children’s fashion fair in the United Kingdom, which was held in person last July at the Cranmore Park Conference and Event Centre in Birmingham, with the participation of five Andalusian companies from the children’s textile industry.
Minerva Programme startups increase their turnover by 41.6% and close to €11 million
The Minerva Programme, an accelerator promoted by the Regional Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge, and Universities together with Vodafone, has promoted a total of 183 startups since its creation almost a decade ago. In total, these initiatives have already invoiced almost 11 million euros in 2020, 41.6% more than in 2019. This figure reflects the resilient nature of the technology companies that have joined this initiative, which has managed to grow during the first year of the pandemic.
OnTech is working to boost the Agrotech sector in Andalusia
The agri-food industry is the main industry in Andalusia. With an annual turnover of 17,000 million euros, it has more than 6,000 companies, generates 68,000 jobs, and is key to boosting rural development. Andalusia’s position and growth as an agro-industrial power depend to a large extent on innovation and the application of new technologies.
